Racing Department

Our Mercury Racing Department has outfitted and rigged several high performance craft:

MALAYSIA MINI-F1
 

Swift outfitted and rigged the prototype craft for a new racing class - Malaysia Mini-F1. The racer is powered by a Mercury 30hp outboard and has achieved over 65 kph on GPS.

Malaysia Mini-F1 is an initiative to introduce circuit powerboat racing to Malaysia that is affordable and the next step up from Formula Future.

The racing series will be established as a “one craft” series using a standard design and outboard motor. This will give all competitors an equal chance and will keep costs reasonable. The projected cost of the complete rig including trailer is around the cost of a jet-ski (RM45,000).

The boat, called the Cougartek Bobcat, is a true tunnel hull similar to a full size F1 and gives drivers the opportunity and necessary experience to be able to progress in the sport of circuit racing.


OFFSHORE RACER

                            
Swift outfitted and rigged this 25’ Deep-V Offshore Racer. The craft is powered by a Mercury Racing 300hp EFI Promax Super Mag V6 outboard and has been timed at 107 kph on GPS. In addition to power trim the engine is fitted with an electro-hydraulic jack plate that raises the complete engine so as to adjust propeller immersion and reduce drag for maximum speed.

Swift can outfit and rig any craft with Mercury outboards or sterndrives to Customer’s requirements.
