MERCRUISER Sterndrives
Mercury are the largest producer of sterndrives in the world with a
dedicated manufacturing facility in the U.S.A.
An extensive range of petrol and diesel powered sterndrives
are available in the Asian market. The engines are coupled to Bravo
or Alpha sterndrives according to application and duty.
Swift is fully facilitated to supply and support Mercury
sterndrives and we have our own Mercury SPX computer diagnostic
systems that enable us to link to the engines ECU and analyze any
problem.
Increasingly, all contemporary internal combustion engines
are incorporating electronics in their control systems in order to
maximize efficiency and reduce fuel consumption and most importantly
to reduce emissions.
Swift can supply, install and
commission Mercruiser stern drives and Cummins Mercruiser inboard
diesels on any suitable craft.
Mercruiser sterndrives are in operation with Departments of
the Malaysian Government.
PETROL ENGINES
CARBURETTED ENGINES
These engines offer the economical choice for many boaters. They are
available in the following models coupled to an Alpha sterndrive:
MULTI-PORT FUEL
INJECTION ENGINES
These engines offer the discerning boater the advantages of
electronic control with lower fuel consumption and emissions. They
are available in the following models coupled to Alpha (up to 300hp)
or heavy duty Bravo sterndrives.
The Bravo 1 sterndrive is for high speed
applications up to 80 knots. Special versions for ultra-fast craft
are available.
The Bravo 2 sterndrive features a larger propeller diameter
for high thrust and getting larger boats onto the plane. Suitable
for up to 55 knots
The Bravo 3 sterndrive features contra-rotating propellers,
ideal on single engine applications as propeller torque is neutral.
Suitable for up to 55 knots.

A special version of the QSB 5.9 litre engine
rated at 480hp is available with the Mercury Racing NXT sterndrive.
This is designed for Interceptor and Offshore high performance
